About Heart of the Blue Ridge Sangha*

“Peace is all around us — in the world and nature — and within us — in our bodies and our spirits. Once we learn to touch this peace, we will be healed and transformed. It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice.” -Thich Nhat Hanh

Who we are…
We are a diverse group of people who practice meditation in the tradition of mindfulness taught by Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist Zen Master, poet, and peace activist.  Our practice encourages the importance and joy of bringing a mindful awareness into all aspects of our lives, and  supports living mindful lives so that we may deeply understand the interdependence that connects us to each other and to the world.

Practicing with Heart of the Blue Ridge Sangha…
Our regular practice includes a weekly sitting each Sunday morning, from 9:20 until 10:40 a.m.  We are always happy to welcome new members to our community.  Each one of us brings our unique practice and life experiences to the Sangha, and our diversity of interests and perspectives enriches us.

Join us at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Roanoke
in the Olin Meeting Room,
2015 Grandin Road, Corner of Grandin and Brandon
Time: 9:20 – 10:40 am Sundays
